Samsung Odyssey ARK Gaming Monitor:
55-inches, 4K & INSANE
Honestly, this
is one of the most insane things I've seen at any ces I'm talking about the
brand new Samsung odyssey arc this is a 55-inch behemoth gaming monitor and it
packs in so much more than it is unbelievable.
First of all, it's
55 inches you've got a thousand-hour curve radius and you're thinking look this
might be a little too much because that 49 inch was massive you know this takes
you to the next level now sitting in front of it looks comfortable and easy I
actually was able to see the whole screen quite well and you've got a couple of
options with this as well so you can go with different aspect ratios you can
have it 16x9 you can do 21x9 or even 32x9.
Because you've
just got a lot of real estate now there are a couple of other things you can do
with this as well as you can also have multiple screens at once so basically,
it's like having uh two 32-inch screens on the top and then a bottom screen
below which you can rotate the different size variants and that is great for
that gaming experience.
Now there's
something else you can do with this monitor as well which reminds me of our
channel partner for Hyundai where we went to check out some of the new mobility
robotics now the mot system that he built is truly impressive because it brings
a couple of really great functionalities together being able to customize the
platform so you can use it in things like you know construction industry to
move packages and tools around or even within the hotel industry plus the
ability to also personalize it for human and consumer use was great I got to
sit down in it and the platform is just expandable it's extendable and it is
truly autonomous and I have to say it is quite useful now the one thing I know
will be useful for is taking that 55-inch monitor with you anywhere because
it's big and that thing does something cool where it can rotate into portrait
mode which it gives you three 32-inch monitors stacked together.
On top, it is a
truly different gaming experience at that point so in our demo there we had the
game at the bottom uh we had um a stream of someone on the top and then we have
people in the middle we're chatting with which allows you to do just so much
more altogether.
Now, this also
comes with a control module that has a rotating wheel where you can change the
sizing of your display you can change the different input options, and so
forth.
Now in terms of
ports I have no idea how many ports it's going to have Samsung didn't let us
know at this point Samsung also didn't let us know the cost of this device as
well and we don't know the refresh rate I don't have that information for you
but I do know that it's going to be coming out in q2 of 2022 and the pricing
will be announced.
