OPPO PAD
First things first, let’s check out the design. The one I’m
reviewing is the limited Artist Edition, which flashes with this
silver accents as I change to different angles.
There is a huge OPPO logo lies in the center of the back
panel. There is a 13MP camera and a flash on the top right corner.
Its have the power
button and two speakers on the top side,
the speakers as OPPO claimed with support for Dolby Atmos
and Hi-Res audio certification.
On the right side are the volume rocker, mic, and a
magnetic
area for the pencil stylus. When you put the stylus there it
will be automatically attached and the screen will pop up a battery
indicator
and at the same time charge the stylus wirelessly. The
magnetic is strong btw, but yeah, please don’t shake too much.
While at the bottom we have another two speakers and a type-c
charging port. Nothing on the left side.
Moving to the front, you get an 11-inch LTPS LCD with 2.5k
resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
The screen supports HDR10 content and has symmetrical bezels
with an 8MP selfie cam integrated into the side bezel.
Under the hood, it sports the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 paired
with
up to 256gigs of storage and up to 8 gigs of RAM, btw, it
supports a max of 5gigs of RAM expansion.
The system is the ColorOS 12 for Pad based on Android 11.
Its special features are you swipe down from the middle of
the screen with two fingers to split the screen, Thus you can operate
two apps on the screen for easier multitasking.
You can also adjust the size of each side. If you don’t want
a big display, just use four fingers to do a grab gesture.
Also, there is a feature that the multi-Screen Connect. You can
connect with your OPPO phone and operate your phone on the tablet.
There are other features like Quick Return Bubble and Smart
Sidebar,
which are basically the same as the ColorOS 12.
The OPPO Pad also comes with some accessories like that
pencil stylus as I’ve mentioned before.
It supports 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity and 13-hour
battery life on a single charge. It is responsive and accurate, It didn’t
feel lag at all no matter how fast you scribble, awesome! It is a
smart pencil as well, you double tap on the stylus to switch between the
pen and eraser tool. If you write with more force, you get
deeper color writings.
There is also a magnetic keyboard for dedicated typing if you
want. It is a well-built solid keyboard with no wobbly parts here and there.
But you have to know it’s a portable keyboard so it won’t
give you the typing experience from a full-sized one and It would
imagine long typing would get your fingers cramped.
Actually, photos look great with details, not bad for a
tablet.
OPPO Pad is it is a really solid, elegant, and productive
tablet. It looks beautiful and premium with this metal frame and
frosted glass back design and it’s just 6.99mm thick and weighs 507
grams.
